Our story
Fewer things, made properly
Wexcombe began in 2014 with one jumper, one mill and an order for two hundred. We still work the same way: find the people who make a thing best, order only what we expect to sell, and look after it once it is yours.
11
mills and workshops, nine of them in Britain and Ireland
240
the most we make of any one piece in a season
412
jumpers mended last year, free of charge
41
people, in Leeds, London and Edinburgh
How we work
We order what we expect to sell, and nothing more
Small runs mean less waste and better cloth. They also mean a size can go and not come back. When that happens we would rather tell you than rush a poorer version.
Made in small runs, by people we know
Most of our makers are within a day of the studio. We visit each of them every season.
